I dont know what he thinks of me..... help!?

ok so he is 16 and im a few years younger (i am only one grade below him) we text often but he usually replies "ok". i told him it bothers me and to stop doing it so he stopped for a little while. he has sent me a few pictures and i sent some back (dont worry they were decent). the other day i made the mistake of asking him what he looks for in a girl and he was very vague, so i asked him if he would reject or date me and he said date. afterwards i told him how old i was and he replied "oh" and then mentioned this other girl (he is 10x pretttier than me and his same age). idk if he still thinks im his friend or not, help! (and help me find out how i can keep him my friend cuz i really do care about him wheter he likes me or not.)
