Facebook won't let me add my middle name.?

its been two weeks and every time i submitted my middle name it said request sent then nothing ever happened. my middle name is appropriate so theres no way it was rejected. now i cant even try anymore because it says ive reached my name change limit when it never even changed! WHY is this happening and is there any way i can get my name on w/o resorting to the alternate name?
