Asked guy out and he said no?

I'm mortified right now. I told a guy I know from work that I like him (through text). He totally rejected me, which wouldn't be so bad if I never had to see him again but I have to deal with him at work!! Bear in mind this is the first time I have ever told a guy I like him (low self esteem). Seriously don't know how to handle the situation
