What do you think dressing modesty is?

My 10 year old nephew asked me what is dressing modesty and i do not know what to tell him so he understands. so here is my question to all of you. What is dressing modesty and What do you consider "modest"? What are some things you would consider modest and what are some things you would not consider modest. Be specific please.
