How to get over a guy that keeps hurting you!?? Please help?

I sound like a broken record with this guy... It's always the same story. We hang out we kiss we have lots of fun.. Then I don't hear from him in weeks or a week or weeks and when I do hit him up like yesterday he gives me short answers and doemst try to make conversation.. I try not hitting him up first since I've learned my lesson.. But I can't seem to cut myself off no matter what!! Everytime he talks to me or hits me up it seems like I just forget and keep hoping this time it will be different... HOW DO I STOP THIS!!! I feel hurt and rejected... My friends dont understand why I'm even into him because I'm better looking than him and I could get alsmot any guy( not trying to sound conceited but u guys don't know me so I thought I'd give u a picture) I have constant mood swings because of him and eveeything I do is because od himm green I hate my life so much right now
